Presidenti rus Vladimir Putin, ka deklaruar se sanksionet perëndimore janë të paligjshme duke i kundërshtuar ato.
Gjithashtu Putin është shprehur se presioni i paprecedent politik dhe sanksionet perëndimore po e shtyjnë Rusinë dhe Bjellorusinë të përshpejtojnë procesin e bashkimit të dy vendeve, duke iu referuar forumit Rusi-Bjellorusi.
“Presionet e paprecedent politike dhe sociale nga Perëndimi po na shtyjmë që ne të përshpejtojmë procesin e bashkimit”, ka thënë ai.
