Dear Mr Beyer,
As a follow up of our fruitful discussion of this Tuesday, and authorised by our President,Mr Mustafa, allow me to inform you on the most recent developments in our country and the voting of our Parlament in relation to the motion of distrust initiated by our party.
After lengthly Parliamentary session on Wednsday,members of the Kosovar Parliament voted in favour of the motion of the distrust, with an absolute majority (82 votes out of 120 MP’s in our Parliament) As we already informed you,the reasons behind this motion were significant, starting with different vision on important measures to be taken by the Government, the cooperation with our long term and strategic partners, Europian Union and the United States,and the unilateral decision making of the Prime Minister Kurti.
The first reaction of Mr.Kurti on Wednesday night, right after no confidence vote, confirmed ones more that further cooperation was impposible as long as we did not submit to his will and vision.
On wednesday midnight, right after the Parliament vote, he realease me of my duties as First Deputy Prime Minister with no reason mentioned in the realese order.
This is purly retaliation action that will allow him to continue and impose his unilateral action in this care taking Government,
not allowing for partnership and discussion among his ranks.
The MP’s had the chance to discuss and elaborate extensively during Wednesday’s session, and from our party we had strong interventions and one common nominater- the disappointment on the leadership of the PM.
Our party will now follow the political and administrative steps, in line and in full respect of our Constitution, that will be taken by our authorities to establish a new Government.
At the same time, we will continue to be a strong and solid partner in these difficult times.Our President, Mr.Mustafa declared yesterday that our Ministers will continue their job, if allowed by PM Kurti, and ensure that our country wins the fight against the Covid -19 virus.
Let me reassure you that all our party and our Ministers in the Government have made sure that the upcoming changes in the Government are not in any way going to effect the functioning of state institutions during this health emergency period.
We would welcome any suggestion by you during this process. We are committed to establishing a full functioning pro EU government, with clear agenda of advancing our country’s euro-integration process, reconciliation of neighbourty relations and prompting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
